Avoid Alcohol
You may be eating all the right things, but what are drinking? I attribute part of my weight-loss success to ridding my diet of alcohol. I used to enjoy a beer with dinner several nights a week. It adds up. Alcohol turns into sugar and can hamper your best efforts to eat clean. The sugar isn’t the only reason to avoid it. We tend to let our guards down while under the influence and are more likely to make poor food choices. Also, who feels like working out the day after enjoying a few too many drinks? Alcohol is a triple threat, so make a real effort to use it sparingly, if at all. You won’t miss it a bit once you start feeling and seeing the results of eating clean!
