So the spirit of the Christmas season has hit me earlier this year than normal. I usually don’t feel this way until further along in December, typically just a couple days before Christmas Day. Seriously, I started playing Christmas music the week before Thanksgiving! Even my children were like, “Mama, turn it off. WHY are you playing this already?” (I normally do not play Christmas songs until Christmas Eve, so they were right to be suspicious!)
You’re probably wondering what my being in the Christmas spirit early has to do with eating clean? Well, this year, it has everything to do with it! Read on . . .
One of the main reasons we decided to start this site is to pass along what we’ve learned about eating clean, kind of like “paying it forward,” right? Although both of us, having been involved in fitness in one way or another for at least 10 years before we started the site, knew about eating clean, what really brought it home for both of us, and wrapped it all into a tight little readable package, is the The Eat-Clean Diet book by Tosca Reno. So what better way to ‘pay it forward’ both in terms of eating clean and my desire to give a gift to one of our loyal readers than to give away a free copy of Tosca’s book?!
So I’ve decided to give away 1 copy of the The Eat-Clean Diet book! So how can you win a copy?
Between December 1st and December 10th, you must post a comment here and tell us why you want the book and how you think it will benefit YOU. That’s it. Easy peasy, right? Each comment will be assigned a number and then I will use an online random number generator to pick a winner. Winners will be notified via email and you can send me your address and the book will be delivered from Amazon.com direct to you.
So tell us, why would you want a copy of the The Eat-Clean Diet book and how do you think it will help you? Good luck to everyone who enters!

I already have the book but just wanted to say great giveaway. I’ll go Twitter about it. Are you on Twitter? It’s a great social networking tool http://www.twitter.com/angienewton
Oh, that’s too bad Angie! But be on the lookout because we might have another giveaway next month, maybe the cookbook that goes along with this book OR Tosca’s newest cookbook for families and kids. I have a copy and it’s awesome!
You know, I heard of Twitter recently and haven’t used it, and at first glance from the link you provided, I was a little confused…lol. I am going to look at it more today and see if I can figure it out. Thanks for the link!
You know, I would love this book! Although I basically understand the diet plan and subscribe to the magazine, I think the book would help me and my clean eating venture so much more!!!
Crossing my fingers that I’m a winner! LOL
Actually, I own this book (and love it!). I would love to win this copy and give it to my sister. I think she would and could benefit by reading this.
I would love to have this book to help me get healthy again. I suffer from a few ailments and I believe eating clean will help tremendously. Thanks
I have been wanting this book.I admire Tosca Reno and what she has accomplished
At 28, I was sick of feeling tired, listless, out of shape and just plain “ugh!”
I just started to eat healthier and excercise more, and I am amazed at the way my body has responded to the small changes I have already made.
I would LOVE Tosca’s book: the information would no doubt be a tremendous benifit to helping me live healthier, stronger, and happier.
*Crossing my Fingers!*
I would love this book, My new years resolution is to really pay attention to wheat my husband and I are really putting in our bodies and this would be a great start
I would love to win this cookbook to fix great food for my children (2) and myself. I don’t have white sugar/flour in the house. Started using dark agave nectar-love it! Started eating 5-6 times a day. My kids and I have always tried to eat healthy-but CLEAN is the way to go! I’m looking for abs!
I am a wife and mother of 2. When I learned how to cook it was the good old fashion way. Butter and deep fried. I have been working to get out of that. My whole family are old fashion eaters and I believe it’s killing us. My husband recently lost vision in part of his eye due to plaque. My son is over weight, and my daughter has no regard to what she eats. We have recently loss a friend to cancer and have had many family memeber die of cancer. I don’t want this fate for us. I want better. I believe this way of life is the answer and you are holding my free keys in your hand. (even if I don’t win the book I am emplimenting this way of life into my family)
I bought Tosca’s book “The Butt Book” and started reading about clean-eating. It intrigued me.I’m 43 and Tosca is such a great example of what can be accomplished if you work at it. Recently I’ve been trying to change my eating, subscribed to the “Clean Eating Magazine, been reading Tosca’s blog. I would love to win the book…I’m planning to buy all three…diet, cookbook, and workout. One less to buy if I win it.
I changed my lifestyle! I started to eat clean and workout 6 times a week!! I lost 53Lbs and now i am really happy and healthy!
Eating clean now is a hobby for me!!!
Every day i enjoy to spend 2 hours in the morning cooking the meals for my day!
Every weekend i try a new recipe from the magazine!
I am a fan of Tosca Reno! And i love her books!!
I need one more for my colection… and specially to have more clean and delicious recipes to make in the weekend for me and my bodybuilder husband!!!!
I did very good with my diet and exercises this year! Santa Claus… PLEASEEE!! Give me this gift for Christmas! I’ll do even better in 2009!!!!!
I’ve been wanting this book for a while. I, like many others, subscribe to the magazine. I’m always looking for new/different recipes to try. I’ve enjoyed this past year of developing clean eating habits. This book would be a great encouragement to continuing a clean eating and fitness lifestyle in 2009!
I have been wanting this for a while and just cannot find it here locally. SO if I got this it would be such a good thing to help me shed 150+ pounds, finally!
This is a book I would love to share with my mother! She just found out she has diabetes, and has NO CLUE how to eat correctly! I have lost 15 lbs since starting this “lifestyle change”, and would love my mom to be able to do it also!
I notice that all posts are female, but I’m 62 year old male. I’m overweight and out of shape–Sound familiar? For 25 years I was a dedicated gym rat and ate–always– CLEAN! Ater dealing with a couple of health issues, I stopped the gym and I stopped clean eating.
Recently I’ve become concerned with my present overweight condition and the health issues this along has created. Ran into a college buddy today and we spent time talking about a mutual buddy that had passed on. The mutual friend was a discus thrower in college–gym rat–and had a perfect “V” physique. He died massively overweight. My buddy today made a comment to me that has knawed at me all day–He said our friend’s death should be a wake-up call for both of us,…then he laughed and asked… are we smart enough to realize it and actually do something? I thought about this all day and tonite–I googled the phrase—Clean Living–this was MY term, I mented it back at the gym, and then found all the listings…well I connected… and am determined to loose the 30lbs, that I need to, your diet book would be a great motivator and practial guide.
Hey,thanks for listening==guess I needed to releash my pent up anixety.
I have had my eye on this book for a while and would love to get it for a Christmas gift! Funds are a little short as I am supporting my husband through grad school so I don’t have the cash to spare to give it to myself for Christmas so I’ve been reading up about clean eating online and at the library, but it would be great to add it to my home library. I think this way of eating would really appeal to my husband who wants to lose some weight but is having motivation trouble. This seems like something that would help both of us to lose some weight and get healthier. Yay for clean eating!
This book would be great. I have worked hard in the gym to lose 20 pounds alone, but I have been unable to reach my goal weight. A diet book that actually works might be what i am missing.
I love this book! I have been following clean eating for about a year now and love the results. I’ve recently gotten two of my friends to commit to starting in January and would love to be able to give both of them a copy of this book. Thank you for the chance to win one! oh and Merry Christmas.
I would love this book! I love Tosca and have recently started reading the clean eating magazine, and I think this book would be a great one to read next. I have followed the south beach diet successfully for a while but am struggling to lose the last 10 pounds…this could be the jumpstart I need! Thank you and merry christmas!
I would love to have the book. I have three people in my household that have clean diet needs. i have found a few recipes online and through friends but would love a more bundled resource!

I became a subscriber to the Clean Eating Magazine quite coincidentally about 5 months ago. Up to that point I had no idea what ‘clean eating’ was or meant. I have been trying to eat healthier for several years, but I always seem to fall back into the fast food game due to lack of time, or packaged-for-home foods due to lack of funds to buy healthier foods that (I always thought) cost more. I have prepared several recipes out of the magazines and must say there hasn’t been a single one that I didn’t absolutely love, and it didn’t cost near as much as I had myself thinking it would. I am 52 years of age and begin tomorrow morning working with a personal trainer to transform my body (thanks to the encouragement of Oxygen Women’s Fitness and the inspiration of Tosca Reno who looks amazing!). Whether or not I win the cookbook, and of course I hope I do, I will own it in the near future, and I will do what is necessary to pursue and reach my goals. Who knows…maybe you’ll see me on a future cover of Oxygen!! Now THERE’S a goal to shoot for!!!
I would love this book! I just started the 100-mile challenge and I think that this book would help me keep track!
I have read the reg edition from the library and would love to have this book the expanded edition. I go to the gym and started eating clean and feel healthier and have more energy and need more help would love to have this book at home to reference too
I would love to win this book, I recentley had a little loose change but could only afford to buy the contest book or The Eat Clean Diet Book for Family & Kids, I chose the second and loved its advice & recipes so much that I not only want the other..I need it! I even searched our local used book store for it..no luck, maybe I’ll have more luck with this conest!
Sigh….. I missed the deadline… my friend just told me about this Clean Eating plan just yesterday… should have dropped everything and followed through.
I would have liked the book because I believe in Paying Forward and have been struggling on my own since I didn’t realize there was an organized plan out there already. I’ve done WW and successfully lost 2/3rd of my goal weight. But, eating clean on the popular lifestyle diets is not all that easy. They use so many unhealthy convenience foods. I would have used the book for getting the rest of the pounds off.
Guess I will have to see if Santa will put a copy in my stocking!
Thanks for such a great site.

I have a lot of reasons for wanting this book. First, I am both a marathon runner and a high school teacher. I am interested in leading a more healthy lifestyle, and I am not sure where to begin. One of my friends suggested “eating clean,” but I wasn’t quite sure what that entailed. I am ready to begin, but I need some place to start! This book would be a great “helper” in my attempt. Additionally, I want to be able to educate my high school kids about healthy eating and healthy alternatives. Many members of the track team look for ways to “fill them up,” and they end up eating junk. They tend to listen to me, so I would love to make some food to bring into class or to meets.
Also, my colleagues tend to be “health nuts” as well. Many of them are also marathon runners and lead somewhat healthy lifestyles. We all tend to struggle during the holidays, and we always pass along recipes to each other, and I would love to be able to suggest an “eating clean” strategy.
Finally, I am getting married in June, and I want to go into my marriage with healthy alternatives to the pizza my fiance loves (yet he is also in the fitness industry).
I promise I’ll cherish the book if I get a chance to have it!
Thanks,
Christina
PS. Uh oh…did I miss the deadline?
