Banana Oat SmoothieNext to strawberries, bananas are one of my favorite fruits and I typically eat at least one banana a day. Packed with vitamins and nutrients, bananas are a great source of Vitamin B6, potassium, vitamin C, manganese, and fiber. This Banana Oat Smoothie packs a powerful protein punch with 14.7 grams of protein per serving. Enjoy!

Ingredients:

  • 1/4 cup old-fashioned rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup plain low-fat yogurt*
  • 1 banana, cut into thirds
  • 1/2 cup fat-free milk*
  • 2 tsp. honey
  • 1/4 tsp. ground cinnamon

Directions:

Place all ingredients in a blender and puree until smooth. Serve immediately.

Nutritional Info: 342 calories | 3.9 grams fat | 14.7 grams protein | 67.4 grams carbs | 5.3 grams fiber

*I substitute soymilk for fat-free milk and I use nonfat plain yogurt instead of low-fat yogurt.

  1. Ummm… that oat smoothie looks delicious. I’ve been drinking green smooties and this certainly looks good. I’ll have to switch it up. Great blog.
