With strawberries in season, it’s a great time to buy some fresh strawberries and use them in a smoothie. Of
course you can use frozen in this smoothie recipe, but a smoothie in which I use fresh strawberries always tastes so much better to me than when I use frozen. I typically save the frozen for winter when I can’t get buy fresh. This Strawberry Orange Smoothie recipe yields 2 servings, and be careful if you’re counting calories or carbs because this contains 310 calories and 65 grams of carbs! If you’re worried about the carbs, not using the honey will lower the carb count by a little over one-third.

Personally I’d replace the low-fat strawberry yogurt with plain greek yogurt. Low-fat strawberry yogurt usually has some sort of artificial sweetener in it that’s definitely not clean.
Hi Sophie,
Unfortunately I can’t get Greek yogurt around here; however, have you ever tried Stonyfield Farm yogurts? No artificial sweeteners and all natural/organic, so I have no qualms about using SF brand.

I love Stonyfield Farm yogurt and have used it for years…no artificial anything. I love Greek yogurt, too. However, it can be more pricey and harder for some people to find.
