Real Food Recipes Round-Up

Okay, so maybe I shouldn’t call this a “round-up” because I’m only going to talk gush about a website I found a couple of months back that is an absolute pleasure to read and get new recipes from (or even new ideas for recipes).  I absolutely love this site and have to recommend it for those of you who want to explore eating real food as a method of clean eating.  Remember when I posted recently about changing my outlook on what clean eating really means to me?  Well, this site is one of the many resources I used to come to the conclusion that to me, clean eating is eating real food and that the only “rule” I have is to stay away from processed junk.

The website I am so in love with is 100 Days of Real Food.  The main reason I love the site is because of the recipes.  While I am not a self-proclaimed “foodie,” and really don’t have a lot of interest in food other than eating to live (and admiring beautiful food photos), I love the fact that Lisa’s recipes are, number one, made from scratch, and number two, are made using simple, everyday ingredients that can be found in my cupboard (and if they can be found in my cupboard, they can be found in anyone’s cupboard).  I’ve seen some recipes on the site that I have already made over the years and I know they are delicious, such as her Jalapeno Popper recipe.  I’ve also found many new recipes that I have tried (and they are awesome!) or printed and stashed away for future use.

Lisa not only provides clean recipes (and beautiful photos of the foods she makes!), but also tips on how to get started eating real food, including a Real Food Pledge, which makes it really simple to get started.  She offers insight into why eating real food is the way to go.  She also offers tips and recipes for our clean eating kids.  Her husband, Jason, helps edit her blog, but recently wrote a post giving his perspective on eating real food and how to get the significant others in our lives to eat better, which was very helpful because it offered easy ways to get your significant other to eat clean.

So if you’re looking for more ways to incorporate real food into your daily diet or need some new recipes to try out, check out 100 Days of Real Food.  I bet you’ll fall in love with the site just like I have!
