Eating Clean Doesn’t Mean Mealtime Must Be Boring
One common misconception about eating clean, or eating healthy in general, is that eating healthy foods is boring. Not true! Meals made using healthy foods can be delicious and flavorful when adding herbs and spices.
Making sure that the clean meals you eat are flavorful is important to keeping yourself motivated to stick with eating clean. A few herb and spice staples I keep in my kitchen are:
Herbs: basil, oregano, thyme, rosemary, bay leaves, parsley, and tarragon.
Spices: cinnamon, red pepper flakes, cumin, paprika, and cloves.
There are hundreds of herbs and spices to choose from. Make meal prep fun by experimenting to find which herbs and spices you like best.
