When I woke up yesterday morning, I had a craving for banana and peanut butter, so I had one of my favorite foods – a banana and peanut butter sandwich for breakfast…yum! Of course that filled me up for quite a while and so I skipped meal #2 because I just wasn’t hungry at all. Other than that, pretty normal day.
Meal 1
Peanut butter and banana sandwich on whole-grain bread
Meal 2
Nothing
Meal 3
Tuna salad – lettuce, onions, bell peppers, radishes, onions, topped with tuna and homemade dressing; a side of cottage cheese
Meal 4
Vegetable soup made with venison and a variety of mixed vegetables; watermelon and fresh strawberries
Meal 5
Blueberry smoothie – rice milk, fresh blueberries, and vanilla protein powder

Hi Jennifer,
I am using the banana pepper ring recipe that you posted on this websit. Another person commented that she had an old Italian recipe that used olive oil. Do you know if that recipe was ever posted and if so where I could find it? Thanks, Diane
I’m trying to find out about the protein powder you are mentioning on the site. What brand should I be using that is ‘clean’ accepted. Are there different kinds? Vanilla? Regular? Are there different flavors/kinds that I should purchase? Thanks
Hi Carol,
That’s a great question! And actually, I will try to get a post up about it tomorrow a.m. that will answer your questions and tell you what I use.
Hi, just wondering if you have the calorie counts for the meals. Hard to judge on how much to eat when following and Menu plan.
Thanks
Hi Debbie,
No, I didn’t keep track of the calories to include because everybody’s calorie needs are different and how much you eat at each meal will be dependent on what your specific calorie needs are.
There are lots of free online food journals you can use to keep track of your caloric intake. I like Fitday.com, but there’s also Sparkpeople.com if you like their format better.
HTH!
Hi, your food choices are good and you obviously provide good support on this site for clean eating. However, cardinal sin of clean eating is missing a meal! Always have your meal even if your not hungry
It keeps your metabolism fueled and prevents over eating at the next meal time. I am sure you already knew that but thought it was important for any of your other readers who are new to clean eating to understand that! Good luck with your site
Hi Jennifer,
I have a question about the breakfast you mentioned as banana and PB is one of my favs! Do you just eat it on whole wheat bread or ezekiel bread?
I am just getting started with clean-eating and I have the book and I am just learning…learning…learning..
All my best,
~Starr
Hi there,
I just saw your full day menu plan and saw that you had it on whole grain bread….sorry…I am new to this site
…though what brand of bread do you recommend?
Thanks!!
~Starr
Today was my first peanut butter banana sandwich. Can I just say … YUM! I’ll be eating this for breakfast often.
Hi Christie,
YAY! Another PB and banana sandwich fan!
Glad you like it.
