Clean Eating Menu: Tuesday, August 11th

For those of you who need help figuring out what to eat when you’re eating clean, in addition to getting help here with my clean eating daily menus, you may want to subscribe to Clean Eating magazine because every issue has a two-week menu plan or you may find their clean eating grocery shopping lists helpful.  Those grocery shopping lists are in each issue, but you can also find those here:  clean eating shopping lists.

Now for my day 3 meals:

Meal 1

Fruit smoothie made up of banana, strawberries, and chocolate protein powder

Meal 2

Hard-boiled egg (including yolk) with whole-grain crackers

Meal 3

Turkey salad – greens, turkey breast, sunflower seeds, radishes, onions, and homemade dressing; side of fruit salad

Meal 4

Whole-grain bread with peanut butter and low-fat yogurt

Meal 5

Grilled chicken breast, baked potato, green beans, and a chocolate chip peanut butter cookie for dessert

Meal 6 or “bedtime snack”

Plain protein shake with soymilk and protein powder

    The sample menus are very helpful! I get up at 6am, what are the best times to eat? Should I start my first meal at 6:30? How do you space out (times of day) your meals during an average day?
